Stuck in the moment? Good.

Unsure of where to move in the Lord? Me too. Except, I know that He is faithful and that His word and timing are absolutely perfect.

'Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You do I wait all the day long.' Psalm 25:4-5

The rush of each day and a hectic schedule try so hard to persuade my soul to 'do', to 'move' and to 'achieve'. Yet, the Lord instructs the opposite. Rest, relax, come to Him. As I draw closer to Him, He will draw closer to me as promised in the book of James. I have to admit that this thought is really comforting! The time set aside to talk to God is not in vain, and the time set aside to read His book called the Bible is not just for entertainment, it's personal time with my Creator. My confidence, then, will be to retreat and sit in His presence. My prayer is simple:

'One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek - that will I dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.' Psalm 27:4

So, when the enemy pushes his agenda into my mind and attempts to clutter my day with useless "do's" or vain tasks, I will retreat into EL ELYON's shadow and wait until I've been reground by Him. When I'm not sure where to move next or how to determine His best for me, I won't! I will not search on my own strength and I will not "go" on my own strength either. It's tough not to control my own time, but after all, His thoughts for me are better than my own thoughts towards myself. I'll trust Him over my life. He loves me and will make known His thoughts towards me. This is called overcoming the day- and I know where I'm supposed to be.
